Micron Legend Black Megatron is the prize of the TV-Magazine (April issue) lucky draw, Only 100 were given away in this draw. This exclusive can be counted as one of rare items soughted after among collectors in the future, While unconfirmed, it was believed that the same version was also the prize for a on-the-spot lucky draw held by some departmental stores in Japan sometime in Spring 2003. Even then, it can be assumed that only 100-120 of this Black Megatron are made, none were retail openly.

This version has a very well balance paint scheme, using black, olivedrap and luminous green, it appeared to have enhanced the details on the toy giving it a very good look. Furthermore, it would seems the X-dimension air military micron can seamlessly blend in with Megatron. All the lights, sound effects and voices are the same as the regular Megatron.
